Back To The Beach
June 1st & 2nd

The Lake Ponchartrain Basin Foundation held it's annual Festival in Kenner. Proceeds help Save Our Lake & Coast. Thanks Shelia and Angela!
John Besh Foundation's Funkin' it Up!
May 25th

The John Besh Foundation hosted quite the party during the New Orleans Wine and Food Experience. Performances included Young Fellaz Brass Band, Mia Borders, and Kermit Ruffins. Thanks Lauren and Jessica!
Tulane's Wave Goodbye
May 17th

Tulane said goodbye to its graduates in style with music by Eric Lindell & the Sunliners and a sampling of New Orleans cuisine. Thanks Valerie! 
Shamrockin' Run
March 17th

This St. Patty themed 8 kilometer race started at the WWII Museum and ended in Audubon Park.  Big Sam's Funky Nation played the post party while the runners re-hydrated and celebrated their morning run.  Thanks Bill and Michele!
Big Easy Awards
April 22nd & March 25th

Gambit held it's annual music and theater awards in the Harrah's Casino. Dr. John and the Meters were honored at the Music Awards and Luis Q. Barroso at the Theater.  Thanks Clancy and Margo!


Bio Blitz
May 17th & 18th

The National Park Service and National Geographic teamed up to host the 24-hour species inventory known as Bio Blitz. The Barataria Preserve welcomed scientists, naturalists, and science lovers who devoted 24 hours to identifying and mapping every plant and animal possible. Thanks Carol and Joe!
Soul Revival
April 20th

One single organ donor can save the lives of 9 people, restore sight of 2 people, and enhance the lives of 50 more through tissue donation. Since the Legacy Donor Foundation's inception in 1999, the number of registered donors has grown from 450,000 to more than 2 million. Their annual fundraiser was held at a new Garden District venue and featured performances by DJ Rob Nice and Brass-o-holics Go-Go Funk band. Thanks Nicole!

Kelly Gibson Foundation's "A Night of Jazz"
April 12th

The Kelly Gibson Foundation was founded with the idea of providing necessary support to the front line first responders to Hurricane Katrina. They have since broadened the focus to include children's programs with an emphasis on enrichment through athletics.  This year's fundraiser was held at Manning's and featured music by Tim Laughlin and Connie Jones.  Thanks Kelly and Brad!
Hogs For The Cause
March 22nd & 23rd

This barbecue cook-off fundraiser festival was the first to be held in City Park's new festival grounds. Proceeds go to provide aid and relief for those variable expenses and economic burdens families face while their child is being treated for pediatric brain cancer. Thanks Becker and Rene! 
Lark In The Park
March 15th

Lark in the Park "Cabana Nights" was a spectacular evening that was a night to remember! Proceeds go to building a Cabana Plaza "Birthday Village" in the splash park which will include a series of tent cabanas completely furnished to rent for private functions. Thanks Jackie and Margo!

Audubon Nature Institute

Mother's Day
May 12th

Irma Thomas has been performing at the Zoo's Mother's Day celebration for 30 years now! The special day was shared with record crowds enjoying the music, zoo, and matriarchs. Thanks Cheryl!

May 3rd

The Zoo's annual fundraiser was certainly one to remember!  Bjorn Again, Phat Hat, Ingrid Lucia, and Jaywalkers Brass Band entertained guests while they enjoyed food and libations from a plethora of local restaurants and cocktail bars. Thanks Ellen!
Earth Festival
March 16th

Earth Festival is a great way for visitors to learn about saving the environment. Free to Zoo members, this year's entertainment included 61 South and Vieux Carre. Thanks Cheryl!


White Oak booked numerous weddings and produced some great private parties. Thanks to all who made it happen!
