Musician, DJ, writer and producer Marc Stone's fascination with vinyl records and great music began as a child listening to his grandfather's prized collection of Jazz and Blues 78s and LPs and his step-father's lunch boxes full of 45s from the dawn of Rock and Roll. By his teens Marc was an avid record collector and working musician, and he hasn't stopped since! He's toured the world as a guitarist with many greats of R&B, Soul, Blues, and Zydeco all while digging in obscure spots far and wide in search of vinyl treasures.
Every week Marc shares that lifetime of collecting and knowledge with listeners around the world via his Soul Serenade radio program on New Orleans' legendary Jazz and Heritage Station WWOZ 90.7. Since 2011 Marc has hosted legends of American music and talented up and comers while spinning deep and groovin' cuts from the greatest classics of Blues, Soul, New Orleans R&B and vintage Rock and Roll, Jazz, Funk to rare tracks in a multitude of styles from his vast vinyl and digital archives.
